Key Responsibilities
- Take charge of servicing and repair for all farm equipment
- Run inspections and diagnostic tests to find worn and damaged parts
- Order replacement parts
- Work out why machines break down
- Repair machines in the field during the busiest periods
- Keep the workshop space and spare parts stock in order
- Work with machine operators and managers, and guide junior staff when asked
- Keep records of servicing and operations
Requirements & Eligibility
- Qualified Diesel Mechanic, or good practical experience in the trade
- Works alone when needed and solves problems under pressure
- Experience of agricultural or heavy machinery, which is preferred
- Hard-working and reliable during peak seasons
- Communicates well
- Organised
