Permanent, full-time posts, Monday to Friday, are open at an Auckland vehicle compliance centre for experienced automotive car mechanics. The centre specialises in compliance inspections, servicing and repair across a full range of vehicles, WOF inspections included, and the mechanic strips imported cars for inspection, services and repairs vehicles mechanically, and collects parts from suppliers.
Computer knowledge is part of the job, because invoices, WOF inspections and repair time all go into the system. The employer holds accredited employer status, which counts as AEWV sponsorship, but New Zealand citizenship or residency is required, so applicants need to be already living in New Zealand and hold it.

Key Responsibilities
- Carefully strip imported cars to prepare them for compliance inspection
- Service and maintain vehicles of various kinds as routine
- Repair cars mechanically
- Fetch cars and parts from suppliers and support colleagues with their tasks
- Keep timesheets of repair time and load invoices and WOF inspections
Requirements & Eligibility
- At least three years' proven experience working as an automotive car mechanic
- New Zealand citizenship or residency, and a New Zealand driver licence
- Strong adherence to safety protocols
- Organised, proactive and a multitasker who meets timelines
- Good communication skills and references, with computer knowledge an advantage
