Visa sponsorship support is available if required for a suitable candidate at an accredited salon employer in Tauranga. The salon is a professional unisex business that wants experienced, creative Hairdressers and Barbers for its growing team.
Day to day you would deliver quality hair care, styling and men's grooming in a modern, air-conditioned setting, with client satisfaction and health and hygiene standards at the centre of each appointment.

Key Responsibilities
- Listen to what each client wants in terms of cut, colour and style, men's grooming and beard shaping included
- Shape hair with shears, clippers, razors and other professional tools: trimming, tapering, cutting and styling
- Give clients beard and moustache trims, wet shaves and hot towel treatments
- Wash and condition hair, treat the scalp and hair, and say which products to use at home
- Tint, colour, highlight and bleach hair, take colour out, and do chemical straightening, relaxing or perming
- Finish with blow dryers, straighteners, curling irons and styling products
- Explain how to look after the scalp and keep a hairstyle looking good
- Sanitise tools, equipment and work areas to the salon's hygiene and safety standards, and take bookings, keep the schedule and handle payments when needed
Requirements & Eligibility
- At least two (2) years of full-time work as a Hairdresser or Barber, a minimum
- Demonstrated technical ability in cutting, colouring, styling and men's grooming
- Interpersonal and communication skills at an excellent level
- A strong focus on serving customers
- Teamwork that is efficient and cooperative
- Sound hygiene and safety knowledge in a salon setting
