A current valid driver's licence is mandatory for this Branch Manager job in Alice Springs. The employer is an independent automotive glass company with customers in retail, trade, fleet and insurance across the country for over 30 years, and it is after a driven, hands-on manager for its established branch.
The manager owns branch operations and leads a close-knit team of three: two qualified fitters and one highly experienced leading hand, with senior management providing continuous support. It suits someone who likes being on the floor with the team as much as at the desk. Candidates from automotive workshop, retail management, trade operations or service backgrounds are welcome. The employer is approved under NT DAMA, and qualified onshore visa holders who need employer support are welcome.

Key Responsibilities
- Run the branch's daily operations and watch spending against budgets
- Roster staff, coach the team and oversee performance in a positive workshop culture
- Keep stock under control and local suppliers on side so products are available
- Bring in more retail, fleet, insurance and trade work with high-quality service by phone and in person
- Keep to strict WHS standards, secure the store, keep administrative records accurate and help with basic glass fitting or repairs when busy (on-the-job training provided)
Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven record in a role such as Branch Manager, Workshop Manager, Service Manager, Operations Manager or Retail Manager, plus strong communication, team management, business awareness and computer skills
- A current valid driver's licence (mandatory)
- For sponsored candidates: nomination under Retail Manager (General), ANZSCO 142111
- For sponsored candidates: relevant formal qualifications, suitable management experience, English proficiency and NT DAMA eligibility
