If you know your way around framing, plaster and cladding, this is a role to chase. A building contractor providing ceilings, walls and external cladding is hiring carpenters and ceiling fixers for big, long-term commercial projects in the region. The jobs are permanent and ongoing.
Expect to install aluminium and CFC cladding on commercial buildings, prepare wall and ceiling surfaces, and handle framing, set-out and fixing. The employer says supervisor roles and sponsorship visas are among the opportunities for the right candidates.

Key Responsibilities
- Put cladding in place on commercial buildings, working with aluminium and CFC
- Prep wall and ceiling surfaces, internal and external, for the render and plaster coats; blend and spread plaster, cement and render using trowels and other trade tools
- Get every corner, angle, wall and ceiling plumb and straight
- Set out, frame and fix as the job requires
- Cover the full scope of carpentry: building, installing and repairing
- Stick to quality and safety procedures and flag any hazards; take site measurements and read the plans
Requirements & Eligibility
- Ideally 3+ years in construction, with Carpenter / Ceiling Fixer qualifications or experience as a trade assistant; all candidates are considered
- The ability to finish surfaces to trade standard, including preparing, levelling and straightening them
- Understands construction standards and what the cladding scope of work covers; able to work as part of a team as well as independently
- Valid Class C driver's licence with own transport for tools; able to meet pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol and background check requirements, where required
- Holds a construction white card, which is mandatory; EWP and working at heights tickets are desired
