It wants proper ceiling fixers and interior systems installers, gypsum board installers included, who can work from plans, set out and finish installations by themselves. Key Responsibilities
- Install T-bar and grid suspended ceilings alongside plasterboard ceilings
- Fit acoustic ceiling systems and the framing, furring channels and suspension that hold them
- Erect steel stud walls and partitions
- Fix plasterboard (gypsum board), including fire-rated and acoustic types
- Construct bulkheads and specialist interior features
- Work from plans: read, measure and set out
- Complete jobs without supervision
Requirements & Eligibility
- A strong commercial background in ceilings, partitions, plasterboard and interior systems
- Skill at reading and interpreting plans
- Able to measure, set out and work independently
- New Zealand projects such as hospitals, schools, apartments, offices, high-rise or major commercial builds are of particular interest
- Strong spoken English
- A good employment history
- Able to explain clearly, at interview, what you have personally completed
