This Baker job comes with a sponsorship option for the right person. The bakery is well known and sits in a coastal town in Western Australia's South West that is booming. It wants a Baker who will work with its Bread Team Leader and Production Manager while building knowledge and a career in baking.
Working days are Monday to Thursday, 4 days, from 2am until 12pm. The week comes to 38 hours, overtime is added where necessary, and weekends are free.
Zimbabwean bakers in Harare or Bulawayo can get a bakery CV ready with Build AI CV showing trade certificates, such as HEXCO, and volume baking experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Mix white doughs
- Shape sourdough
- Bake sourdough in a three level bread oven
- Roll puff pastry
- Handle stock control
- Apply an understanding of sourdough fermentation
- Apply an understanding of croissant dough fermentation
Requirements & Eligibility
- Shows a passion for creating quality products for the cabinet
- Has worked in a team, in preparation, service and kitchen management
- Has worked in volume bakery environments before
- Formal trade qualifications in commercial cooking or the equivalent
- Communicates excellently
- HACCP experience is desirable, with food hygiene a high priority
- Has operated a commercial bread oven
- Positive attitude, energetic work ethic, ability to adapt
- Able to work very early
