A hotel venue in regional northern Victoria wants a qualified chef who would like to leave the city or take the next step, gain more experience and join a strong team.
The role reports directly to the Venue Manager and leads each culinary team. The venue wants chefs with progressive ideas about food across a range of cuisines; experience in volume kitchens and functions is an advantage. Sponsorship is available.

Key Responsibilities
- Create menus and manage food costings.
- Oversee food standards and production.
- Uphold executive management's standards.
- Manage labour and costs.
- Support recruitment, induction and training of kitchen staff.
- Meet agreed kitchen KPIs.
- Communicate well with management and staff.
- Maintain hygiene, cleanliness and safety.
Requirements & Eligibility
- At least 2 years in a comparable high-volume venue.
- Cert III or Cert IV in Cookery.
- Professionalism and an energetic, enthusiastic approach.
- Good grasp of kitchen operations, with food quality and presentation to the fore.
- Solid at managing kitchen costs.
- Excellent writing and speaking skills.
- Leads strongly and can manage a multi-faceted kitchen.
- A hands-on coach who motivates the team, solves problems and builds teamwork across the venue.
