Start immediately as a full-time Chef de Partie at a wedding and events venue by Wollongong. It belongs to a group of five wedding venues, the food is European and each service is big and fast.
The group hopes the chef will stay and grow, and the five venues give a route to Sous Chef. Eligible candidates can seek Subclass 482 Skills in Demand visa sponsorship. Applicants send a CV and a few photos showing their plating.
In Harare or Bulawayo, a chef can show large-event experience and a HEXCO catering qualification on the CV. Draft the CV in Build AI CV and add the plating photos separately.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare your station before each service.
- Cook and plate at weddings and events from that station.
- Build menus, tastings and seasonal changes with the Head Chef.
- Keep food safety, ordering and stock control tight.
- Train and lead junior chefs and kitchen hands.
- Take catering to other venues.
Requirements & Eligibility
- 3 years of culinary experience, including time as a CDP or a strong Demi, and experience plating for large numbers without dropping quality.
- Food safety certification, or the ability to obtain it within 30 days of starting.
- Drivers License required.
