Key Responsibilities
- Produce creative, high-quality plates in a busy kitchen, carrying out prep and cooking tasks with efficiency and care
- Team up with the Head Chef to create new dishes and lift existing ones
- Look after the cleanliness, organisation and hygiene of the kitchen, and observe all food safety and workplace health and safety regulations
- Deliver excellent customer service, handle guest requests promptly and support inventory management and the ordering of kitchen supplies
Requirements & Eligibility
- A minimum of 2 years' work as a Chef/Cook in a similar hospitality setting
- Culinary training or qualifications of a formal kind, such as a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
- Deep knowledge of preparing and cooking food and of food safety practice
- Strong time management and multitasking skills, and the ability to work in a team and contribute to a positive work culture
- Enthusiasm for creating high-quality meals and improving the dining experience
