Independently owned and highly rated, a growing café on the Sunshine Coast serves a creative breakfast and lunch menu built on quality ingredients and house-made preparations, with genuine hospitality. It is hiring a talented and motivated Chef at any of several levels: an experienced Chef, or a Senior Cook ready to move up to Sous Chef or Head Chef, with responsibilities shaped by skills and leadership potential.
The kitchen is busy and fast-paced, mainly on daytime shifts, and the post is full-time with long-term career opportunities and hands-on owners. Potential employer sponsorship is on offer to suitable candidates, subject to position and visa eligibility requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Cook and send out breakfast and lunch dishes to a high standard
- Keep presentation, freshness and consistency high
- Manage prep and keep the kitchen running smoothly and efficiently
- Help with food safety, cleanliness and managing stock
- Work with colleagues during busy services and offer ideas for the menu and kitchen improvements
- Take on leadership, training and kitchen management duties where appropriate
Requirements & Eligibility
- Experience that is proven in a professional commercial kitchen, along with confidence under pressure during busy services
- Pride in the presentation, consistency and quality of food
- Organised and efficient, and a good team player
- A positive attitude and a strong work ethic
- Comfort with early starts and weekend work
- Previous leadership experience is highly regarded
