Visa sponsorship opportunities are available for suitable eligible applicants at a popular tourist venue on the Sunshine Coast, which is looking for a passionate, experienced full-time Chef for its bar and grill.
The menu is dynamic across lunch and dinner, with functions and events in a versatile space and high-quality Western cuisine with Asian fusion. Alongside the Executive Chef and Sous Chef, you would take an integral role in the daily running of the kitchen while keeping food quality, presentation and service exceptional.

Key Responsibilities
- Produce plated, garnished dishes at a consistently high standard
- Look after one section of the kitchen
- Sign off deliveries when they arrive, following business procedures
- Keep stock moving, waste low and inventory under control
- Keep every area clean, tidy and compliant on food safety and hygiene
- Watch portions, costs and quality
- Help the Executive Chef and Sous Chef shape menus, recipes and costings
- Pace preparation and service for busy periods, and mentor and train team members
Requirements & Eligibility
- A culinary qualification that is relevant, or at least five years of full-time experience in a comparable kitchen
- Confident on grill, pans, larder, dessert and pizza sections
- Passion for food, flavour, quality and presentation
- Excellent communication and teamwork
- Can multitask and perform well in a fast-paced environment, and takes a proactive approach to problem-solving and time management
- Reliable, punctual and professional
- Flexible for a seven-day roster, including weekends, school holidays and split shifts
