Two Commis Chefs are wanted by a Queenstown hotel in New Zealand with a bar and restaurant that serves hearty, rustic food and drink. Each job is permanent, at 30 hours a week, and the kitchen is a close team that prepares and presents everything from breakfast items to conference food.
You would need to be free for late nights, weekends and public holidays. The hotel may be able to offer visa sponsorship to the right person.

Key Responsibilities
- Select good produce and food items
- Cook and present food across breakfast, conferences and the regular menu
- Plate dishes with the right accompaniments
- Cater for diets such as dairy-free and gluten-free
- Observe hygiene, health and safety rules, using appliances and tools correctly, and support HACCP procedures
- Make sure guests get a quality product every time
- Keep supplies and equipment in good order and waste to a minimum
- Pitch in with washing up and other kitchen tasks, freezing and preserving, and training and recruitment
Requirements & Eligibility
- Free for late nights, weekends and public holidays
- A team player comfortable in a tight-knit group
- Previous work in a similar position, with à la carte menu experience
- Able to work 30 hours a week on a permanent contract
- NZQCF Diploma or at least three years of relevant experience instead of the formal qualification (a mix may be suitable)
- Safe food handling certification is an advantage though not required
