Key Responsibilities
- Take the lead with the front of house team across a shift and set the tone for service
- Coordinate with the kitchen to keep service smooth
- Work with the General and Operations Manager on venue standards and strategic goals
- Look after stock, ordering and waste, and handle staff training, rostering and performance
- Handle cash and daily financial transactions, contribute to the budget, and monitor cost of goods, payroll and efficiency
- Comply with health, safety, food handling and RSA regulations
- Reinforce venue policies, procedures and house rules, and support local marketing and community relationships
Requirements & Eligibility
- 3-5 years behind you in hospitality management, with at least 2 of them managing a restaurant
- Preferred: a hospitality management or business degree or diploma, with equivalent experience also considered
- Valid Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification
- Food Safety Supervisor certification, preferred
- Approved Manager certification MLP1, preferred
- Strong working knowledge of computers and POS systems
- Excellent at leading people, communicating and solving problems, with a customer-first outlook and a keen eye for detail
- Able to stay effective under pressure in a fast-paced environment and be well presented at all times
- Essential: free to work evenings, weekends, school and public holidays
