Hospitality · Nelson, New Zealand · Full-Time · $26 - $29/hr · Visa: Employer sponsored · Applicants: Onshore applicants only
A restaurant and café sitting on the water near Nelson, New Zealand, has a vacancy for a Duty Manager. Holding a liquor licence, it can seat as many as 200 guests and is open all week, with summer the peak and winter calmer. Its philosophy is simple: good cooking, real hospitality and systems clear enough to make top service something the team can repeat.
You would run the floor during the shifts you are rostered on and carry the licence as the Duty Manager, which makes you answerable for how guests are served and how they feel, for the team working alongside you, and for the venue being run safely and within the law. The job is ongoing and starts from 30 hours weekly at minimum, taking in weekends and public holidays.
You need to hold the right to work in New Zealand. As an accredited employer under the AEWV, the business may be able to sponsor a work visa for the right person.
