A winery restaurant in a well-known Western Australian wine region is recruiting an experienced Events Chef. The venue handles everything from leisurely long lunches through to weddings of 150 guests, and the chef will own the food side of its events.
Restaurant service is already covered by a team with daily experience; the Events Chef adds depth in weddings, functions, banquets or catering and leads that part of the operation. In quieter periods the role means leading a section and supporting prep or service alongside the Head Chef and kitchen team. Visa sponsorship is possible for a suitable candidate.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver wedding and event food service across the business, planning it ahead
- Own and develop the weddings and events food programme
- Direct the kitchen team so large groups get quality food
- Take a section and cover prep or service when no event is running, working in step with the Head Chef and kitchen team through the day-to-day routine
Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven experience delivering weddings, functions, banquets or catered events
- An understanding of how event service differs from restaurant service, and the ability to plan several steps ahead
- Organised and proactive
- Enjoys leading people, bringing a team together and staying calm under pressure
- Practical, solution-focused and proud to serve honest, quality food
