Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef with managing the kitchen day to day
- Lead and supervise staff in the kitchen during busy services
- Work across all sections, with grill and pasta especially
- Help to develop dishes, seasonal menus and existing recipes
- Train, mentor and support the junior chefs
- Look after cleanliness, food safety and organisation of the kitchen
- Oversee preparation and stock rotation, ordering and waste management, with every section organised and stocked before service
Requirements & Eligibility
- At least 1 year of work as a Sous Chef in a busy à la carte restaurant
- Proven high-volume kitchen experience
- Excellent cooking skills, with grill and pasta a particular strength
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- A record of training and supervising kitchen staff, plus attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness
