A Mexican-themed restaurant with plenty of life, in the middle of central Christchurch's restaurant and bar district, is hiring four waitstaff who have done the job before. It expects outstanding customer service and serves food and drinks according to its selling system, and crew are encouraged to be themselves and have fun while noticing what guests need.
Full-time hours start at 30 a week and include nights, weekends and the busy summer months. Regular in-house sessions cover food, drinks and service. The business holds accredited employer status (AEWV sponsorship) and can help with immigration if needed.

Key Responsibilities
- Take card and cash payments
- Welcome guests and give them information on the menu and what is on offer
- Take orders
- Bring meals and drinks to the tables
- Clear and reset tables and keep the restaurant clean
- Process orders through the POS
- Follow New Zealand liquor laws and help management enforce licensing requirements
- Promote products and services
- Finish the in-house training modules that come up regularly
Requirements & Eligibility
- A Level 2 or 3 Diploma qualification, or at least six months in a similar role
- Good knowledge of New Zealand liquor laws
- Free to work nights, weekends and the busy summer months
- Motivated to work hard in a fast-paced role
- Keen to learn the restaurant's offerings and service standards
